During the development of Abyssal Archive: The Mythology of Dark Souls, we commissioned artist Judson Cowan to create the most detailed map of Lordran ever produced. Using 3D map viewers available online to study the game's actual level geometry, he was able to achieve a phenomenal level of granularity and faithfulness to the world you experience while playing Dark Souls.

That said, we knew that the version of the map that forms an integral part of the book collection would not be suitable for framing due to fold lines, the lighter-weight paper stock necessary for machine folding, plus the damage that would inevitably result from separating it from its custom binding.

So we have created this special edition of the Map of Lordran on a heavier weight (240gsm rather than 150gsm) of the same premium Munken Pure Rough paper stock. This is a stunning print, large enough to study the fine details of Lordran's varied geography.
